Question 3" What have you learned from your audience feedback?
After producing the rough cut, we screened it to an audience of 12 people, asked them to fill out a questionnaire - designed by one of our team members - and tell us what they thought based around the criteria written on the sheet. When we received the questionnaires back, we found the comments and opinions to be firstly, very helpful and secondly mixed, in terms of positive and negative. For example, a popular criticism of the trailer was; how the overly manipulated the colour was and how it was more of a distraction than anything else. Another popular criticism was; how in a trailer continuity isn't necessary, and the feedback was to get rid of the continuity completely. In addition, we found through our questionnaire that people felt we didn't have enough variety of shots in our rough cut, even for a teaser trailer, which gave us the opportunity to add more in to our shots hadn't been converted to widescreen - which we quickly changed.
